On Monday July 24th on KPFA’s Women’s Magazine we talk to two amazing and influential women’s rights activist who unfortunately you probably have never heard of. First Kate Raphael talks to Lilly Rivlin and Heather Booth about the new documentary called “Heather Booth: Changing the World” which tells the story of one of the most influential women involved in social movements in the U.S in the last half Century. This film will be showing this coming week at the SF Jewish Film Festival.
Then Corinne Smith brings us the voice of Neesa Medina, a Honduran women’s rights activist with the women’s rights group Centro de Derechos de Mujeres. They are fighting for women’s basic rights to health, labor and political participation in the face of overwhelming violence.
